SUSMITA RAJANALA, M.D.

Dr. Susmita Rajanala is from Hyderabad, India, where she received a Doctorate in Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine from Seton Hall University, New Jersey and a Critical Care Medicine fellowship from Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ. She then completed fellowships in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. She joined Gwinnett Pulmonary Group in January 2013. Dr. Rajanala’s special interests include Sleep disorders, Asthma and Lung Cancer.

Dr. Rajanala is married with 2 children. Her personal interests include travelling, tennis and reading fiction.

VOSUDESH K. PAI, M.D.

Dr. Vosudesh Pai is from Hyderabad, India where he received a Doctorate in Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine from Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He was subsequently an Assistant Professor of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/ University of Medicine and Dentistry, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He joined Gwinnett Pulmonary Group in February 2012. Dr. Pai’s special interests include Sleep disorders, Pleural diseases and Lung Cancer.

Dr. Pai is married with 2 children. His personal interests include classical music, traveling and tennis.

SARAH J. HAYAT, M.D.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine, Dr. Hayat has been practicing in Gwinnett County for over 4 years. She trained in Morgantown, WV where she also served as faculty, training physicians in Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Hayat has a special interest in the evaluation and management of COPD, Asthma and Sleep-related breathing disorders. She also serves as a staff physician at the Gwinnett Health Department Tuberculosis Clinic.

Dr. Sarah Hayat is married to Dr. Khalid Hayat, who is prominent local Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist. Together, they are proud parents of two children. She has a special interest in NeoClassical Architecture, Interior Designing. She also loves cooking, reading, biking and spending time with her family.

PRASAD S. GARIMELLA M.D.

Dr. Prasad Garimella is originally from Atmakur, India. He graduated with honors from Kurnool Medical College, subsequently completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Weiss Memorial Hospital, University of Chicago. He earned his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Cook County Hospital and his fellowship in Sleep Medicine from Rush University Hospital, Chicago.

Since 2004, Dr. Prasad Garimella has been part of Gwinnett Pulmonary Group, providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients. He is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine and is a fellow of American College of Chest Physicians and American Association of Sleep Medicine. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Georgia Campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also currently serving as the Chief of Department of Medicine, at Gwinnett Hospital System. Dr. Garimella is well respected amongst his peers as an outstanding clinician in Critical Care, as well as outpatient setting.

He specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with Lung Cancer, COPD, Asthma and Sleep Apnea. He has particular expertise in Electro Navigational Bronchoscopy and Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy.

When not busy with his patients, Dr. Garimella enjoys biking, Taek won Do and spending time with family. He earned his black belt in Taek won Do and enjoys mountain climbing and he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Rainier in 2010.

When asked “What do you want people to understand about the way you practice medicine?” he replies with his motto “Fundamental principle of Medicine is Love”.

RAJESH R. JASANI, M.D.

Dr. Jasani has been a pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine physician in Gwinnett for over 10 years. He has a special interest and is well recognized in the evaluationand management of sleep disorders. He is a founding medical director of Gwinnett Sleep, sleep disorders center of Gwinnett Pulmonary Group (www.gwinnettsleep.com).

Dr. Jasani has published several peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters in sleep and pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Jasani is also serving as the chief of medicine at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Dr. Jasani has been involved in several hospital and community services including various health fairs and cultural organizations.

Dr. Jasani is married with 2 children and he personally enjoys computer applications, tennis, indian music, movies and photography.
